
Why I Created KallyKurls: An Emotional Journey
Imagine it for a moment: it was during the Covid pandemic, when everything felt uncertain.
I had just opened my hair salon — a dream I had cherished for years. But the excitement of launching my business was overshadowed by a deep frustration: sourcing quality products. Orders placed abroad took weeks, sometimes months, to arrive. It felt like an endless obstacle course.
I remember feeling a quiet anger when I realized that Switzerland, a country renowned for its excellence in cosmetics, did not yet offer brands tailored to curly hair. Curly hair — my true specialty — seemed forgotten within an otherwise thriving industry.
Over time, I built a loyal clientele full of beautiful curls and stories. Hearing their frustrations about existing products made me realize: why not create a line of curly hair products, proudly made in Switzerland?
I drew on my years of experience, listening carefully to my clients’ specific needs. My goal was simple: to create unique formulas that truly meet their expectations.
At 30 years old, a mother of three, I also realized the importance of balancing my passion for hair with family life. Developing a digital project like KallyKurls allowed me to build a future that combined both.
